TotalMed is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Portland, Oregon. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of experience in Cardiac Catheterization and hold certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) – CI or CCI–RCIS.

Responsibilities include preparing the lab for procedures, monitoring patients, and ensuring the quality control of equipment used. This role involves 12-hour shifts with a pay package based on 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Cardiac Catheterization Radiologist/Cath Lab Technologist.
• State licensing as required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the cath lab procedure rooms with adequate stock and working equipment.
• Operate and ensure the quality control of all equipment utilized in the cath lab.
• Monitor the patient’s hemodynamic status during procedures.
• Participate in life-saving measures such as defibrillation and CPR.
• Obtain and record hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data using amplifiers and fluoroscopic equipment.
• Monitor the patient’s hemodynamic status during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the cath lab procedure rooms, ensuring adequate stock and working equipment, including instrument sterilization if applicable.
• Prepare patient and equipment for procedures: site prep, patient draping, arrangement of sterilized instruments, catheters, calibration of pressure transducers and tubing.
• Operate and ensure the quality control of all equipment utilized in the cath lab. Knowledge of all related equipment within the laboratory.
• Scrub in during procedures, assisting the physician in maneuvering catheters.
• Obtain and record hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data using amplifiers and fluoroscopic equipment.
• Monitor the patient’s hemodynamic status during procedures.
• Participate in life‑saving measures such as defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
