Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for a Night shift in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Kearney, NE. 36 hours weekly on 12-hour nights, AK class telemetry oversight, and a compact or NE license are required. The role involves stepdown care, arterial line management, and telemetry interpretation.

Includes travel benefits, per diem, and incentive packages. Candidates must meet licensing, experience, and certification requirements and be prepared for a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Active NE or Compact RN license at consideration; no pending licenses.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 40-bed Progressive Care Unit (stepdown) within an acute hospital setting.
• Care for adult patients with cardiac, med/surg, dialysis, cancer, vascular, sepsis, respiratory, stroke, post-stent, post-pacer, renal failure.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4-5 on days and nights.
• Interpret telemetry strips and titrate arterial line drugs per protocol.
• Use Epic EMR for charting and ensure patient safety and comfort.
