Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Hazard, Kentucky. The PCU travel RN will monitor cardiac patients, perform bedside care and manage medications on a 12-hour night shift across approximately 42 hours per week.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and hold ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications. This role offers travel benefits and a tax-free stipend where applicable.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• PCU travel responsibilities involving monitoring cardiac patients.
• ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications may be required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Monitor and adjust equipment and interpret displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring shows issues.
