Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Progressive Care PCU RN in Bel Air, MD for a travel assignment. The RN will deliver patient care in telemetry and progressive care units, applying clinical judgment and coordinating patient care with the nursing team.

Responsibilities include maintaining nursing standards, patient safety, and efficient flow in the PCU. Requires an active RN license, CPR, and compliance with state/federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Current RN license for the state where the nurse practices.
• One year of nursing experience preferred, with progressive care unit exposure preferred.
• CPR certification.
• TB test, PPD or chest X-ray if applicable.
• Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in telemetry/progressive care units per nursing standards.
• Demonstrate clinical judgment and critical thinking in care delivery.
• Coordinate patient care and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Ensure safe and timely patient care in a step-down/PCU setting.

Progressive Care PCU Registered Nurse (RN)

Setting: Healthcare Facilities

Job Type: Travel

Pay: $2380 / Week

Hours: 36.00

Location: Bel Air, MD

The Progressive Care Unit RN, assumes the responsibility andaccountability for delivering patient care to telemetry/progressive carepatients. The Progressive Care Unit RN demonstrates the ability to makeclinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision. Thisindividual employs critical thinking and performance ability in thecoordination of patient care, consistently performs according to nursingstandards, and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others inthe management of patient care. TheProgressive Care Unit RN is sometimes also called a step-down nurse, cardiacstepdown, neuro stepdown, surgical stepdown and in some medical centers, thePCU is also known as a transition or intermediate unit.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which thenurse practices

• One year prior professional nursing experience preferredwith one year progressive care unit experience preferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
