Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Progressive Care PCU Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Sylmar, CA. The RN will deliver patient care to telemetry/progressive care patients and make clinical judgments under supervision.

The role requires a valid RN license, CPR, and typically 1 year of progressive care experience. Benefits include competitive pay, health/vision/dental, and a 401(k) plan. This is a travel position with an 8-week duration and flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse License for the state of practice.
• One year progressive care unit experience preferred.
• Complies with professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB/PPD or x-ray if applicable.
• Health certificate current as required.

The Progressive Care Unit RN, assumes the responsibility andaccountability for delivering patient care to telemetry/progressive carepatients. The Progressive Care Unit RN demonstrates the ability to makeclinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision. Thisindividual employs critical thinking and performance ability in thecoordination of patient care, consistently performs according to nursingstandards, and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others inthe management of patient care. TheProgressive Care Unit RN is sometimes also called a step-down nurse, cardiacstepdown, neuro stepdown, surgical stepdown and in some medical centers, thePCU is also known as a transition or intermediate unit.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which thenurse practices




• One year prior professional nursing experience preferredwith one year progressive care unit experience preferred




• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice




• Current CPR if applicable




• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable




• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)




• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements




• Must be at least 18 years of age
