Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks an experienced Progressive Care PCU RN to join a travel assignment in Torrance, CA. The RN will provide telemetry and progressive care to labeled patients, applying clinical judgment with supervision and ensuring quality care throughout shifts.

Requirements include an active RN license, CPR, and ideally one year of progressive care experience. The role offers competitive pay and benefits within a travel nursing context.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• One year of professional nursing experience preferred, with progressive care unit experience preferred.
• CPR certification, TB screening or chest x-ray as applicable, and health certificate when required.

Location: Torrance, CA

The Progressive Care Unit RN, assumes the responsibility andaccountability for delivering patient care to telemetry/progressive carepatients. The Progressive Care Unit RN demonstrates the ability to makeclinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision. Thisindividual employs critical thinking and performance ability in thecoordination of patient care, consistently performs according to nursingstandards, and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others inthe management of patient care. TheProgressive Care Unit RN is sometimes also called a step-down nurse, cardiacstepdown, neuro stepdown, surgical stepdown and in some medical centers, thePCU is also known as a transition or intermediate unit.

Minimum Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which thenurse practices

• One year prior professional nursing experience preferredwith one year progressive care unit experience preferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
