Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing assignment in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This role requires 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and offers a 12-week contract with 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift.

The PCU nurse will monitor cardiac and general patients, perform basic bedside care, administer medications, manage IVs and dressings, and respond swiftly to evolving patient conditions. Travel experience and ACLS/BLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1 year of acute care experience.
• PCU / step-down nursing experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Monitor equipment and interpret displays for changes.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring shows adverse signs.
