Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin. The PCU/stepdown RN will monitor cardiac patients, administer medications, and respond to changes in vitals during full-time travel assignments.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience, ACLS/BLS certifications, and can work 12-hour night shifts on a 36-hour week. A flexible, fast-paced environment is expected.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• PCU/stepdown experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Administer, record prescribed meds and monitor reactions.
• Monitor and interpret electronic displays and adjust therapy.
• Initiate corrective action for adverse symptoms.
