Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a Lynchburg, Virginia assignment. The position is 20 weeks long, requires 48 hours per week, and features 12-hour night shifts on a travel basis.

As a PCU RN, you monitor patients who are stable enough to avoid ICU, perform meds administration, IV starts, dressings, and nurse care with cardiac monitoring and rapid response when needed. Start date is 10/05/2026.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Travel RN with PCU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; monitor adverse reactions.
