TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Tallahassee, Florida. The PCU unit cares for patients who require close monitoring but not ICU-level care, with 12-hour day shifts and a 36-hour work week.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and hold ACLS and BLS certifications. The role involves bedside care, monitoring cardiac status, med administration, and rapid response to changes in patient condition.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIH is preferred.
• 2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide basic bedside care for PCU patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Monitor and adjust equipment and interpret displays.
• Initiate corrective actions when monitoring shows adverse changes.
