Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Henderson, Kentucky. The PCU RN will care for patients requiring close monitoring, with 12-hour night shifts and 36 hours per week.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years acute care experience. ACLS/BLS required; NIH may be required. This assignment offers travel benefits with a pay package based on shifts and a tax-free stipend.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS required for assignment.
• NIH (assessed per facility policy) may be required.
• 2 years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication; monitor equipment.
• Interpret electronic displays and respond to adverse signs.
• Monitor patients and take corrective action as needed.
