Job summary
Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks an experienced PACU RN to join our travel team in Massachusetts. You will care for patients emerging from anesthesia, monitor vital signs, and ensure safe awakening from sedation.
The role requires active RN licensure in the state, ideally with a year of PACU experience and certifications (ACLS/PALS, CPAN/CAPA preferred). We offer competitive pay, weekly checks, and comprehensive benefits. Travel assignments in Milton, Boston, and Plymouth.
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the state in which RN is working.
- One year PACU experience preferred
- CPAN (Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse) or CAPA (Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse) certification preferred
- ACLS and PALS certification per contract requirements
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Responsibilities
- Observe and treat patients postoperation in PACU.
- Monitor vital signs and levels of consciousness.
- Ensure safe emergence from anesthesia and monitor for adverse reactions.
