Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing required.
• A minimum of two years of medical/surgical experience required.
• Critical care or emergency experience preferred.
• Current license as a professional nurse in Massachusetts required.
• BLS healthcare provider required.
• ACLS required.
• PALS required.
• Excellent customer service skills; must read, write and communicate in English; computer skills required; ability to maintain confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Provide airway assessment and management for patients in the immediate post-operative phase.
• Utilize nursing process to deliver comprehensive care based on age and unit protocols.
• Monitor cardiac and hemodynamic status, pulse oximetry and patient response to anesthesia.
• Ensure patient safety and care quality in accordance with Nursing Service standards.
