Job summary
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse (RN) for travel assignments in Columbus, OH. The RN will care for patients recovering from anesthesia in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, monitor vitals, and ensure safe awakening from anesthesia.
Requirements include an active RN license in the state, about 1 year PACU experience preferred, and ACLS/PALS certifications; CPAN or CAPA preferred. Weekly pay, health/dental/vision/life insurance, and a 401(k) plan are offered.
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the state in which RN is working.
- One year PACU experience preferred.
- CPAN (Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse) or CAPA (Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse) preferred.
- ACLS and PALS certification per contract requirements.
- Current CPR if applicable.
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Responsibilities
- Cares for patients who have undergone anesthesia in the PACU.
- Monitors vital signs and levels of consciousness.
- Ensures sedation wears off safely and monitors for adverse reactions.
