Amergis is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse (RN) for travel assignments in Cincinnati, OH. The PACU RN cares for patients recovering from anesthesia, monitoring vitals and ensuring safe emergence.

Requirements include Ohio RN licensure, CPAN or CAPA preferred, ACLS/PALS, CPR, and compliance with state/federal regulations. Competitive weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state where RN is working
• One year PACU experience preferred
• CPAN (Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse) or CAPA preferred
• ACLS and PALS certification per contract requirements
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire/PPD or chest X-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate per contract or state regulation
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Observe and treat patients post-operation in PACU
• Monitor vital signs and levels of consciousness as anesthesia wears off
• Ensure patient safety and stable emergence from anesthesia

The post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN cares for patientswho have under gone anesthesia. Thepost-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN is responsible for observing and treating apatient postoperation and making sure that they safely awake fromanesthesia. The post-Anesthesia CareUnit (PACU) RN must monitor vital signs and levels of consciousness to makesure that the sedation is wearing off properly, there are no adverse reactionsoccurring and patients are regaining consciousness.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current RN licensure in the state in which RN is working.


• One year PACU experience preferred


• CPAN (Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse) or CAPA (CertifiedAmbulatory Perianesthesia Nurse) certification preferred


• ACLS and PALS certification per contract requirements


• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice


• Current CPR if applicable


• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable


• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)


• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements


• Must be at least 18 years of age
