Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel assignment in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts. Start Date: 10/12/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts. Employment type is Travel.

The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of acute care experience and holds ACLS, BLS, and PALS. PACU RNs monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and coordinate with the surgical team. Physical requirements apply.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required or preferred.
• 1-2 years recent acute care experience in RN role.

Responsibilities

• Observe and care for post-op patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Provide patient observations and monitor conditions in PACU.
• Develop individualized care plans for postoperative patients.
• Monitor for adverse reactions and report to physician.
• Determine when patients are recovered and ready to transfer to a room.
