Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a PACU RN travel nurse for a 13-week assignment in Washington, DC. The role focuses on caring for post-anesthesia patients in the PACU, with 36 hours per week across 12-hour day shifts.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and hold ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications. The position may require travel and readiness for a fast-paced environment, including lifting and patient transfers.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, PALS are required certifications.
• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• Travel nursing assignment in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

• Observe and care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Provide care and monitoring in PACU for post-anesthesia patients.
• Develop individualized care plans based on each patient's condition.
• Monitor critical patients for condition changes and report to the physician.
• Determine when patients are recovered and ready to move to a room.
