TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Olympia Fields, Illinois. The PACU RN will provide observation and care for postoperative patients as they recover from anesthesia, ensuring monitoring for adverse reactions and timely progression to a room.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years acute care experience, BLS certification, and are able to work 12-hour day shifts on a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Observe and care for post-op patients as they recover from anesthesia.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and report to physician.
• Determine when patients are recovered and ready to move to a room.
