Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced PACU RN with Level II Trauma Center experience for a day shift assignment in Oregon.

This travel position requires an active or pending Oregon RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS, plus two years of PACU experience and prior travel history. The role includes a 1:2 patient ratio, 4x10 hour days with start times between 7am and 10am, every-other-weekend work, and on-call up to 32 hours per 4 weeks.

Qualifications

• Active or pending Oregon RN license required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS.
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required.
• Level II Trauma Center experience required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Prior travel assignment experience required.
• Two professional references from the past 2 years required, with at least one from a supervisor (Charge Nurse accepted).
• Candidates with more than one DUI are not eligible for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in the PACU unit caring for Level II Trauma Center patients.
• Patient ratio of 1:2.
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, with start times varying between 7am and 10am.
• Required to work every other weekend.
• On-call required, up to 32 hours per 4-week cycle.
• Candidates must be willing to float as needed within the health system, including occasional floating to another facility location.
• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care across a range of surgical specialties including neuro/spine, cardiac, orthopedic, vascular, and general surgery cases.
• First-time travelers will not be considered; prior travel experience is required.
• Local candidates are not accepted; must reside more than 60 miles from the facility.
• Previous PeaceHealth employees must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler.
• Candidates with a Washington license application in process should expect a possible start date delay of up to 8 weeks while licensure is finalized.
• Orientation sessions are held bi-weekly.
