Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a PACU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Hyannis, MA. You’ll provide specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia, monitor vitals, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth recovery and safe discharge.

The role requires one year of PACU experience, an active RN license, and BLS and ACLS certification. PALS/ENPC are preferred. Competitive pay and benefits accompany this travel opportunity.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a PACU RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certifications (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients transferring from the operating room and evaluate post-anesthesia condition.
• Monitor vital signs, consciousness, and recovery from anesthesia.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per post-anesthesia nursing standards.
• Document patient conditions, interventions, and recovery progress.
• Coordinate handoffs between OR, PACU, and post-PACU units.
• Develop and deliver discharge instructions and recovery guidelines.
