Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel PACU RN for a 13-week assignment in Midlothian, VA. The PACU RN provides specialized post-anesthesia care, assesses recovery, administers treatments, and collaborates with the surgical team to ensure safe discharge or transfer.

The role requires at least one year of PACU experience and active RN license with BLS and ACLS. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits accompany this travel assignment, including first-day insurance, PTO after 1560 hours,

Qualifications

One year of recent experience as a PACU RN.
Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

Assess patients transferring from the operating room and evaluate post-anesthesia condition.
Monitor vital signs, consciousness, and recovery from anesthesia.
Administer prescribed medications and post-anesthesia treatments.
Maintain patient comfort and safety during recovery.
Document assessments, interventions, and recovery progress in medical records.
Collaborate with surgical team and other providers for post-operative care.
Handoff communications to ensure continuity between OR, PACU, and post-PACU units.
Operate PACU equipment such as ventilators, monitors, and infusion pumps.
