Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a night shift PACU RN with at least 3 years of PACU experience and Trauma Level 1 background to support cardiac cath, EP, and TAVR patients in Maine. The unit includes 40 pre/post beds, 9 overnight bays, and a 23-hour short stay with rotating call and weekend requirements.

Responsibilities include perioperative PACU duties, telemetry, and TREM equipment support. Licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and travel experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (ME or Compact) required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum 3 years of recent PACU experience required.
• Prior ICU experience required.
• Trauma Level 1 experience required.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Experience with pre/post procedure care for TEE, CV, Cath, and EP or OR procedures.
• Experience with cardiac drips, IVs, tele monitoring, Phase 1 care, groin management, and EKGs required.
• Ability to read tele strips required.
• Driver's license required for consideration.
• Two professional references required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Periop Pre-Post PACU unit supporting Cardiac Cath, EP, and TAVR procedures.
• Support 40-bed pre/post unit with 23-hour short stay and 9 overnight bays.
• Maintain patient ratios of 2:1 for Phase 1 Care and up to 3-4 for 23-hour stay.
• Provide night shift coverage 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Float to Bramhall PACU, IMC, and ICU within 25-mile float policy.
