Job summary
General Healthcare Resources, Inc. is seeking a Travel PACU Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment in Salem, Massachusetts.
The role focuses on high-quality post-anesthesia care for adult patients in a fast-paced perioperative setting, with 12-hour night shifts and a weekly 36-hour schedule. The Travel RN will hold an active Massachusetts RN license, possess ACLS/PALS, and bring strong assessment and documentation skills to the PACU team as they support recovery, monitoring, and discharge
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts RN license.
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; PACU/perioperative or acute care preferred.
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe post-anesthesia care to adult patients in PACU.
- Monitor vitals, pain, airway, and recovery progress.
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and communicate changes promptly.
- Administer medications and interventions per protocols.
- Document care accurately and maintain clear team communication.
- Support patient education and discharge readiness as appropriate.
- Collaborate with physicians and anesthesia providers to ensure patient safety.
