Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled PACU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The PACU RN provides specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia, performs post-operative assessments, and collaborates with the surgical team to ensure safe, effective discharge planning.

Required qualifications include one year of PACU experience, valid RN license, and active BLS and ACLS certifications. Preferred certifications include PALS or ENPC.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a PACU RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess post-anesthesia patients and monitor recovery.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol.
• Document recoveries in medical records.
• Provide patient and family education on discharge and recovery.
• Collaborate with surgical team for comprehensive post-operative care.
• Respond to emergencies using PACU standards and protocols.
