Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled PACU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Indiana, Pennsylvania. The PACU RN will provide specialized post-anesthesia care, monitor recovery, administer medications, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe patient discharge.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of PACU experience, an active RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. This role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive clinical team in a travel setting.

Qualifications

• One year of PACU RN experience.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Active BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• ACLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Receive and assess patients transferring from the operating room and evaluate post-anesthesia condition.
• Monitor vital signs, consciousness level, and recovery from anesthesia.
• Administer prescribed medications and post-anesthesia treatments per protocol.
• Document assessments, interventions, and recovery progress in medical records.
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and recovery guidelines.
• Collaborate with surgical team to ensure comprehensive post-operative care.
• Coordinate patient handoffs between OR, PACU, and post-PACU units.
• Operate PACU equipment such as ventilators, monitors, and infusion pumps.
