Job summary
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled PACU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Olympia Fields, IL. The PACU RN provides specialized post-anesthesia care, assessing recovery, administering treatments, and coordinating with the surgical team to support safe discharges.
The ideal candidate will have 1 year of PACU RN experience, an active IL RN license, and current BLS and ACLS certifications. Travel benefits include comprehensive insurance, PTO after 1560 hours, and 24/7 recruiter support.
Qualifications
- One year of recent PACU RN experience.
- Active RN license in IL.
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
- ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
Responsibilities
- Receive and assess patients transferring from the operating room and evaluate post-anesthesia condition.
- Monitor vitals and recovery from anesthesia; document changes and notify care team.
- Administer prescribed treatments and medications per post-anesthesia nursing standards.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety; respond to emergencies per PACU protocols.
- Document assessments and interventions in medical records; coordinate handoffs between OR, PACU, and post-PACU units.
