Job Summary:
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) nurse position available in Augusta, GA. This role involves supporting the specialized Burn PACU unit within a busy, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care to a unique patient population undergoing burn, wound, and plastic surgery procedures.

Job Details:

• Certification Requirements: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Education Requirements / Degree: Relevant nursing license with 1-2 years PACU experience minimum; ICU/ER background preferred but not required; Meditech experience preferred but not required
• Location Requirements: Augusta, GA
• Experience: 0+ years required
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with a work start date of 10/12/2026 and end date of 01/11/2027
• Floating: Float between Burn PACU and Main PACU may be required
• Additional Information: This PACU services Burn, Wound, and Plastic surgery patients with a patient ratio of 1:2. The unit operates with 7 staff RNs plus a Charge Nurse, along with 1-2 patient transporters during day shifts. Staff utilize Meditech documentation system, and scheduling includes three 12-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts with call twice a month. The unit maintains high standards and is recognized for its specialized care in the region.
