Job Summary

Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in a healthcare facility. The role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care to patients emerging from anesthesia, assessing patient condition, and ensuring safety throughout the peri-operative process. This position requires a dedicated nursing professional capable of working independently within a dynamic interdisciplinary team.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date; Associate Degree (APRNs) or Registered Nurse (RN) license must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date; no minimum years of experience specified but at least 1 year of experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit or similar surgical recovery setting preferred.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include evaluating patients prior to surgery, providing patient and family education, participating in surgical site verification, responding to emergencies, and applying evidence-based practices. The nurse will also be responsible for thoroughly documenting patient condition changes and patient education.

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
