Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a 13-week assignment in San Leandro, CA. The role requires NBCOT (COTA) certification, BLS, and CA licensure, with 1 year OTA experience and a 35-hour workweek.

As part of a travel assignment, you will work under the supervision of an OT to help patients develop daily living and functional skills. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and weekly pay through TotalMed Allied.

Qualifications

Must have 1 year of OTA experience.
Current NBCOT (COTA) certification.
BLS certification.
State-specific licensure required.

Responsibilities

Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
Document patient performance and progress per facility/state guidelines.
Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
Comply with state licensing rules and professional standards.
