Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel job in Santa Clara, California. The assignment runs for 13 weeks with 36 hours per week, typically 8-hour day shifts, and travel benefits may apply.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of OTA experience, a current BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification, and state licensure as required. You will support OT-led treatment plans and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a hospital or facility setting.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of OTA experience.
• Current BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification required.
• State-specific licensure may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT.
• Document patient performance and progress according to guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on independence techniques.
• Maintain treatment areas and equipment in clean, organized condition.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support coordinated care.
• Comply with licensing rules and professional standards.
