Job summary
TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel job in Salinas, California. This travel OT position requires 1 year of OTA experience, BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification, and state licensure.
The OTA will work under supervision of an OT to implement treatment plans, deliver activities, monitor progress, document, educate patients, and collaborate with the care team.
Qualifications
- 1 year of OTA experience required.
- Current BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification required.
- State licensure required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
- Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT.
- Document patient performance and progress accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
- Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
- Comply with state licensing rules and facility and professional standards.
