Job summary

Critical Connection, inc is seeking a Hand Therapist (OT) for a travel assignment in Springfield, Missouri. The role focuses on evaluation and treatment of the hand, wrist, elbow, and upper extremity within an outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate will have orthopedic rehabilitation experience and a passion for helping patients regain function. The position features 12-hour night shifts, a 36-hour week, and travel or local pay options with benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed OT in the state of practice.
• CHT certification preferred or eligibility/interest in obtaining.
• 1–2 years in hand therapy or outpatient orthopedic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat upper extremity conditions, including post-surgical cases, fractures, tendon/nerve injuries, and chronic conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals and findings.
• Fabricate and fit custom orthoses/splints for various diagnoses.
• Provide manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities to improve function and reduce pain.
• Educate patients on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and recovery expectations.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation per facility and regulatory standards.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
