Job summary

Powerback Rehabilitation is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant for nationwide travel on 13-week assignments, delivering OT services across diverse settings to improve patient independence. You will work under an Occupational Therapist, document care, and contribute to care teams.

This role requires graduation from an ACOTE/AOTA accredited OTA program, NBCOT certification, state licensure or eligibility, and willingness to travel and reside away from home as needed.

Qualifications

• OT assistant program must be ACOTE/AOTA accredited and graduates must meet licensure requirements.
• Certification from NBCOT is required or in process where permitted by state.
• Active license or eligibility for licensure in the practice state.
• Availability to travel nationwide for 13-week assignments and reside away from home.

Responsibilities

• Travel nationwide for 13-week assignments and work in diverse settings.
• Implement occupational therapy programs and treatments to improve independence.
• Attend patient care conferences and coordinate with the rehab team.
• Deliver therapy per plan of care with timely documentation.
• Instruct patients and caregivers in therapy techniques under supervision.
• Maintain equipment, document needs, and ensure patient service quality.
• Contribute to groups and activities aligned with patient needs.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards

Initial Certification by NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)

Licensed and/or eligible for licensure in the state of practice

Willing to travel and temporarily reside away from home
