Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 26-week assignment in Los Altos, California. The OT will evaluate patients, develop plans of care, and work in acute care settings with diverse populations. Requires NBCOT-OTR, BLS, and state licensing; 1 year of experience preferred, with 6 months possible for exceptional candidates.

Position is travel-based, 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, days. TotalMed Allied provides a tax-free stipend and benefits per week/shift details.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience preferred; 6 months may be accepted for exceptional candidates.
• NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing required.
• BLS certification required.
• OTs must stand and walk for long periods and have knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities

• Review patient medical history and observe tasks.
• Evaluate patient condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan with specific goals.
• Educate patient’s family and employer on care needs.
• Assess home/workplace for functional improvements.
• Document progress per state/insurance guidelines.
