Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Occupational Therapist for a 14-week assignment in Salinas, California. The OT will evaluate, treat and coordinate care for patients in an acute care setting, focusing on improving daily living skills.

Candidates need at least 6 months experience (6 months preferred, new grads welcome), BLS and NBCOT-OTR with state licensing. Travel pays weekly; 35 hours per week, days shift.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience required; new grads welcome.
• BLS certification required.
• NBCOT-OTR certification and state license required.

Responsibilities

• Review medical history and observe patients performing tasks.
• Evaluate patient condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan with specific goals and activities.
• Assist patients with daily living activities despite disabilities.
• Assess home/workplace and propose improvements.
• Educate family and employer on care and accommodations.
• Recommend equipment and instruct use.
• Document progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting.
