Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Ridgecrest, CA. The OT will evaluate and develop plans of care for patients, performing duties in acute care settings and ensuring required documentation and family education.

Requires 6 months of experience (or 6 months for exceptional candidates), BLS, NBCOT-OTR, and state licensing. Travel role with 8-hour days and 40-hour weeks.

Qualifications

• 1 year of OT experience required for travel roles; 6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates.
• Must hold BLS and NBCOT-OTR licensure/certification.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Review medical history and observe patients performing tasks.
• Evaluate patient condition and needs.
• Develop and document treatment plans with goals.
• Assist patients in performing tasks and improving daily living.
• Assess home or work environment for safety improvements.
• Educate family and employer on care needs.
• Recommend equipment and train use.
• Record progress for evaluations and billing.
• Provide timely documentation per state/insurance guidelines.
