Job summary

TotalMed Allied in Ridgecrest, CA is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment. The OT will handle evaluations, plan of care development, and patient education in an acute care setting, with 40 hours per week and 8-hour days.

Travel status, licensing, and certifications are required; new grads may apply with appropriate background. Details include tax-free stipend and post-pay considerations.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months OT experience; new grads may apply.
• BLS and NBCOT-OTR licensure are required.
• State licensure required for practice.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history and observe tasks.
• Evaluate patient condition and needs.
• Develop and implement a treatment plan with goals.
• Assist patients in performing daily activities.
• Evaluate home or workplace for potential improvements.
• Educate patient’s family and employer on care needs.
• Recommend and instruct on use of assistive equipment.
• Record patient activities and progress for evaluations and billing.
• Document accurately following state and insurance guidelines.
