Job summary

TotalMed Allied in Grass Valley, CA is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a travel assignment lasting 13 weeks at 40 hours per week.

The OT will evaluate patients, develop a plan of care, educate families, and document progress in the acute care setting. Requirements include 6 months of experience (new grads welcome), BLS and NBCOT-OTR with state licensing, and ability to stand and move for long periods on 12-hour day shifts.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience; new grads welcome.
• BLS and NBCOT-OTR with state licensing required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; good knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
• OTs must hold state licensure and NBCOT certification.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history and observe task performance.
• Evaluate condition and needs; develop a treatment plan with specific goals.
• Help patients with daily living tasks and assess home/work environments.
• Educate family and employer on accommodations; recommend equipment as needed.
• Assess progress and document outcomes for clinical records and billing.
