Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN in Orthopedics for a 13-week assignment in Pocatello, Idaho. The role requires 48 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift, with travel benefits and tax-free stipends to be determined.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience, BLS and NIH certifications. The job includes bedside care, pre/post-op support, medication administration, and patient education in a fast-paced MedSurg setting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years acute care experience.
• BLS certification (and additional certifications may be required).
• NIH certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for MedSurg patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education plan.
