TotalMed RN seeks a travel nurse RN specializing in Orthopedics for a 13-week assignment in Pocatello, Idaho. The position requires 48 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts and travel employment.

The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of acute care experience, BLS, and NIH certifications, with additional certifications possibly required. The role involves bedside care, pre/post-op, and patient education in a MedSurg setting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years acute care experience required.
• BLS and NIH certifications required.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs as needed.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post-discharge care.
