Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Pocatello, Idaho. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience and will work 12-hour night shifts on a 13-week travel assignment.

As a MedSurg Travel Nurse you will perform patient assessments, administer medications, educate families, and support discharge planning in a fast-paced acute care setting. Requires BLS and 1 year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• 1 year of acute care experience
• BLS certification
• Travel nurse assignment experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op
• Administer prescribed medications and record administration; report adverse reactions
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examinations and treatments
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post-care
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education plans
