Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking either an Athletic Trainer or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support the Orthopaedics department across multiple outpatient locations. The role offers exposure to various specialties and collaboration with physicians, clinicians, and staff.

The position requires Pennsylvania licensure for the respective role and a commitment to high-quality patient care within Penn Medicine’s academic medical center setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in athletic training from a CAATE accredited program (Required)
• Master's Degree from CAATE accredited program (Preferred)
• 2+ years of athletic training experience in a clinical setting (Preferred)
• Licensed in Pennsylvania, ATC (Required)
• BOC Certification (Required)
• BLS/CPR per American Heart Association (Required)

Responsibilities

• Provide routine care of athletic injuries under physician supervision.
• Assist doctors with day-to-day clinical and hospital duties.
• Care for patients, document histories, and prepare clinics.
• Support physicians during procedures and joint aspirations/injections.
• Prepare patient charts, coordinate referrals, and manage supplies.
