Job summary

Temple-Health is seeking an Athletic Trainer/Physician Extender for 40 hours weekly in the outpatient orthopedics setting. The role supports physicians and staff across Temple Faculty Practice clinics, following patients from arrival to departure and aiding in chart prep, testing approvals, and scheduling.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Athletic Training; a Master's is preferred, with 2 years of orthopedic experience and active certifications including BLS and PA Athletic Trainer license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an accredited Athletic Training program is required.
• Master's degree in Athletic Training is preferred.
• Certification as an Athletic Trainer is required.
• Licensed Athletic Trainer in PA is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians, other athletic trainers, orthopedic surgeons, APPs and staff with patient care in outpatient orthopedic clinics.
• Follow patients from arrival to departure and support patient experience.
• Prepare charts for visits and obtain testing approvals; assist in scheduling procedures.
• Support regulatory readiness, inventory, and patient phone communications; assist in related duties.
• Travel to Temple Hospital, Jeanes Campus, and Fort Washington Practice as needed.
