Job summary

Temple Health – Temple University Health System in Philadelphia seeks an Athletic Trainer to support patient care in our Orthopedic Surgery outpatient offices. You will assist physicians, APPs, and staff, guiding patients from arrival to departure to ensure a positive experience.

Requirements: Bachelor's in Athletic Training (accredited); 2 years orthopedic experience; Certified Athletic Trainer; BLS; Master’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from an accredited program is required.
• Master's Degree in Athletic Training is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of orthopedic experience in a healthcare setting is required.
• Certified Athletic Trainer (CA-T) credential required.
• PA Athletic Trainer license required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians, other athletic trainers, orthopedic surgeons, APPs and staff with patient care in Orthopedic Surgery outpatient offices and clinics.
• Follow patients from arrival to departure to support patient experience.
• Prepare charts for visits and testing approvals.
• Assist in procedure/surgery scheduling and related activities.
• Contribute to clinical regulatory readiness, inventory, stocking, and related duties.
• Respond to patient calls and other duties as assigned.
