Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel assignment in Urbana, Illinois. The role requires 18 months of Acute Care Surgery experience, an active RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. Travel and housing allowances plus comprehensive benefits are offered.

You will work 40 hours per week on a 10-hour day shift in a travel capacity across top healthcare facilities, providing perioperative nursing care and education to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Surgery setting.
• Active RN License.
• BLS & ACLS Certifications.
• Other requirements to be determined by the client facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing the nursing care before, during, and after surgery.
• Serve as patient educator, circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse as applicable.
• Circulating OR nurses work within the operating suite but outside the sterile field.
• Scrub OR nurses handle and prepare operating instruments and equipment within the sterile field.
