Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Post/Pre-Op RN for a 13-week assignment in Urbana, IL. The role involves pre-operative and post-anesthesia care, with 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week, and travel compensation.

You will provide focused perioperative patient care, collaborate with the surgical team, document assessments, and support patient education and safety throughout the recovery period. Illinois RN license and BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Pre/Post-Op RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification

Responsibilities

• Assess pre-operative patients by reviewing history and exams
• Prepare patients for surgery and educate about procedures
• Monitor post-operative patients and manage pain/recovery
• Administer prescribed meds and treatments per nursing techniques
• Document assessments, interventions, and recovery progress in records
• Collaborate with surgical team to ensure comprehensive perioperative care
