Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for OR - Operating Room in Ahoskie, NC. This 13-week assignment offers 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts, and a competitive pay package within a support-focused clinical team.

Requirements include one year of OR experience, active RN license in NC, and current BLS. Preferred certifications ACLS/PALS or ENPC, CNOR, and other licenses may be required. Benefits and travel support are provided.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• ACLS (AHA/ARC), PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certifications preferred.
• OR Nursing Certification (CNOR) preferred.
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room by ensuring all required instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready for each procedure.
• Assists in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintains a sterile field and adheres to infection control protocols.
• Anticipates needs of the surgical team and supports efficient workflow.
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and documents changes.
• Documents all aspects of perioperative patient care accurately.
• Participates in handoff communication pre- and post-operatively.
• Cleans and restocks the operating room between cases per protocol.
• Complies with hospital policies and PPE usage.
