Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse OR - Operating Room for a travel assignment in Ahoskie, NC. The right RN should have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, and possibly RN first assistant. Start date: 12/14/2026; duration: 13 weeks; 36 hours per week; 12-hour days.

As an OR Travel Nurse, you will assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients, provide pre- and post-surgery education, and help ensure patient safety throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 2 years of recent acute care experience as circulating nurse, scrub nurse, or RN first assistant.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and assist with administering medications.
• Support OR team by preparing instruments and equipment and monitoring patient safety during surgery.
• Educate patients and families pre- and post-surgery as prescribed by the physician.
