Job summary

TotalMed RN in Madison, IN is seeking an OR - Operating Room Travel Nurse to join our team for a 13-week assignment. Start date 10/18/2026, 40 hours per week, 10-hour days. Requires 1-2 years acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurse, and possibly RN first assistant.

The OR Travel Nurse will support physicians and staff in perioperative care, with duties from bedside care to instrument handling, patient education, and ensuring patient safety during procedures. ACLS/BLS are required.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1-2 years acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurse, potentially RN first assistant.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Serve as liaison between patients, families and operating team.
• Ensure correct patient and procedure is performed.
• Educate patients and families on home care needs.
