Job summary

TotalMed is seeking an Operating Room travel nurse (RN) for an 8-week assignment in Glenview, IL. The role supports circulating, scrub, or RN first assistant duties with 40 hours weekly and 8-hour day shifts in the OR.

Prior travel and acute care experience are preferred, along with ACLS/BLS certifications. As an OR Travel Nurse, you will assist physicians and surgical staff, maintain instruments, monitor patient status, and ensure safe patient care before, during, and after procedures in a busy

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience as circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse.
• RN First Assistant experience preferred.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide OR nursing care across circulating, scrub, or RN first assistant roles.
• Assist physicians and care team during procedures.
• Prepare, monitor and handle surgical instruments and supplies.
• Educate patients before discharge and aftercare requirements.
